Overview

Divelement is a software engineering consultancy based in Mexico. They approached me needing a redesigned website built in Webflow. For this project, I worked alongside other marketing and creative professionals on Divelement's staff to curate content and graphics for the new website.

Problem

Divelement was founded in 2020 as a boutique software engineering consultancy with only about 10 employees. Within a few years after starting, Divelement grew into a much larger company with more than 60 employees, and as a result, the niche/boutique look of their website no longer reflected them as a company.

They were under a time crunch to get their site redesigned site launched in just a few weeks before the start of a new financial quarter.

Page speed and performance were also very important to Divelement. Their existing site scored well on Core Web Vitals assessments, and having the new site do the same was important to them.

Solution

I designed and built a site with more of a corporate appearance and less of a niche, boutique look. All design decisions for the site, from fonts to illustrations to animations, were geared toward giving Divelement a more modern, buttoned-up look.

Refreshed design

I used a white background sitewide and ditched their old dark blue background for more of a clean, corporate look. For visuals, we chose to use illustrations with a techie yet friendly feel. We also decided to use svg illustrations throughout the site, which improved our load speed immensely.

Contact triage

With their previous site, the client received an overload of contact form submissions in their email inbox, including users inquiring about employment opportunities. To better direct users and cut down on submissions, I included a triage on the contact page that directed users where to go to hire Divelement, work for Divelement, or submit a general inquiry.

Results

My client was pleased with how the new site turned out and commented that it was a great improvement over their existing site. They were especially pleased because I was able to deliver the new site on a tight, truncated deadline.
