Elevating a med spa's website with a fresh, polished look

Overview

RiverwalkMD is a family-run medical spa located in Corona, CA. I worked with them to redesign and improve the functionality of their existing website. As part of this project, I also helped improve and refine the spa's brand styles.

Problem

My client wanted to polish the look of their website, as well as improve SEO and the mobile experience. The spa also wanted to elevate the branding and aesthetic of its existing website, with the goal of having a look that conveyed quality but not luxury. As a local, family-owned business, it was important to project approachability.

The spa's main business objective was to drive appointment bookings, which users could do on the website through a third-party platform. When we started the project, the spa was preparing for a busy holiday season and wanted the new website to drive bookings with an improved look and thoughtful content clearly explaining its treatments.

Solution

The redesign took the existing website and gave it a facelift with new branding that created a more defined, professional look. For a medical spa, making users feel assured and comfortable when booking an appointment is crucial. To this end, the new website included comprehensive information about treatments, safety protocols, staff members, and the office.

A refreshed brand look

I refocused the spa's branding with a new color palette comprised of deep purples, along with tan and pink accents. For typography, the combination of a serif, Libre Baskerville, and a geometrical sans serif, Raleway, struck a nice balance between high-end quality and approachability. Newly-shot staff photos were added to help round out the site's warm, personable feel. This new branding also provided a scalable aesthetic that the spa could use across all marketing.

Adaptive CMS 

The website's content for services, team bios, blogs, and specials are all managed through the Webflow CMS, making it easy for the client to manage content and SEO settings on an ongoing basis.

Results

Overall, the new website was a much better representation of the family-owned spa and helped elevate its digital presence. It launched before the holiday season, just in time to greet new users looking to book an appointment.

Matt was great to work with and very efficient with time. He was able to provide good recommendations on templates and what the best route to take would be for our web design. He kept things within scope and helped make our site look more polished. He had a good sense of fonts, colors, and layouts and was able to translate our ideas into a finished product. If I have additional pages and scope I will definitely be working with him again!
